Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) is one of the security organs found in Kenya that play key vital roles of defending the country against internal and external attacks from terrorist groups.
It's good news and new dawn to the KDF service members as the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has announced that it will probably collaborate with Public Private Partnership (PPP) to see that the service members from the rank of private to warrant officers benefit from 2340 housing units.
The meeting was held at Villa Rosa Kempiski Hotel in Nairobi that brought together officials from the Ministry of Defence and Treasury to discuss on the way forward. Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Principal Secretary of Defence Ministry applauded the project saying it will be of great boost.
In conclusion, the Ministry of Defence is planning construct the units in five sites namely; Roysambu, Kwambuzi in Nanyuki, Nyali Barracks, Lanet Barracks and Gilgil Barracks. Chief of Infrastructure in Defence Ministry Brigadier Dennis Kamuri said the Ministry of Defence has released Ksh 1 billion ahead of the planned project.
