Ruto Explains Why There Was no Violence After His August Victory

All Kenyans have been promised fairness throughout President William Ruto's term in office.

According to Ruto, every region and community will be taken into consideration by his administration, and not a single one would be overlooked.

He has stated that he will do this because he thinks God gave him the president so he can serve all Kenyans with equal energy.

The Head of State has further stated that he hopes to use this to help the nation create a solid foundation based on matters that are truly important.

The Washington Post quotes him as saying, "I will keep constructing a nation that leaves no person, region, or community behind because I believe it is God's will."

On Sunday, while attending a service at Christ is The Answer Ministries (CITAM) Karen, the Commander in Chief made the comments.

He acknowledged his appreciation with the peaceful and orderly manner in which Kenyans behaved following the election.

This was ascribed to God, whom Ruto thanked for ensuring Kenya's elections were peaceful.

He is also cited as saying, "We again thank God for granting us calm elections."

However, his comments about fairness come at a time when he is already under fire for being perceived as tribal in state appointments after his list of nominees for Principal Secretaries was perceived to be dominated by two tribes.
