Nominated Member of Parliament Maina Kamanda has revealed that President Uhuru Kenyatta will not at any point allow Deputy President William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party win any elective position in Mt Kenya region.
Kamanda said that the president is set to start his direct engagements with the region voters where he will ensure that UDA party has lose its popularity.
"He will not allow UDA to win any seat from the region. Those politicians who are rushing to join UDA will soon realise that they moved to the wrong side," he said.
The MP added that Uhuru will give the mountain region people the direction to follow during the coming presidential election through political rallies
He further said that some people are advising the president to keep away from politics as he is set to retire but president Uhuru is still insisting that he will not leave the country on bad hands of his deputy.
He also claimed that the Mt Kenya region politicians who decamped to Ruto's party will soon regret for making wrong choices as they will lose their seats.
Kamanda said this during his interview at Lameme TV on Thursday 20th January, 2022.
