President Uhuru Kenyatta in trouble over BBI expenses

The President has found himself in problem after Lawyer Morara Omoke filed an appeal before the court demanding President Kenyatta to pay back the tax payers money used in the BBI process.

" Court should declare that the illegal allocation and use of public funds to initiate and promote the impugned Bill by President Uhuru Kenyatta in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic contravened the Constitution " Said Morara Omoke an Appellant.

The furious Lawyer Morara also advised the court to declare that the parliament had no legal or constitutional mandate to debate and approve the the impugned Bill after former Chief Justice David Maraga had ordered the Parliament to be dissolved.

" Court should declare that Parliament had no legal or Constitutional capacity to debate and approve the impugned Bill in view of the advice of the ex CJ David Kanani Maraga to President Uhuru Kenyatta to dissolve the Parliament " Continued Morara.

The court application comes barely a week after a three Judge bench in appellant Court led by President Justice Daniel Musinga directed during Court management conference all appellant serve their memorandum of appeal within the next 7 days from Tuesday.

The respondents were to file their responses within the next 14 days for which appellant will respond within the next 3 days.
