Peris Tobiko Forced to Pause Her Speech After Residents Demanded Duale's Address During Ruto's Tour

Kajiado East Member of Parliament Peris Tobiko was on Friday December 3 forced to temporarily pause her speech after Kajiado residents demanded Garissa Township MP Aden Duale to address them.

Tobiko who has started her speech by welcoming Ruto in Kajiado urged the residents to remain calm since Duale and the other UDA leaders were to be given an opportunity to greet and address them.

"Wait a minute, please wait," we will give Duale, Ichung'wah and others a chance to speak," said Tobiko after the residents spotted the former Majority leader in the National Assembly besides Ruto's car, with 'Duale! Duale! chants renting the air.

Duale has emerged as a vocal defender of the Second in Command, has been drumming his support for Ruto's candidature and even few days ago downplayed President Uhuru Kenyatta's remarks that the DP was moving towards the 2022 elections at a high speed, compared to his rival Raila Odinga.

Tobiko who is eyeing Kajiado's gubernatorial seat in 2022 under UDA party ticket assured Ruto that the residents were rallying behind his presidential bid and the bottom-up economic model.
