3 Unlucky Aspiring Politicians Who Not Only Lost Elections But Didn't Make It To 2023

Because it was an election year, some fresh faces entered politics, but regrettably, some passed away before the vote. Many aspiring politicians entered the race given that it was election season. Sadly, many failed to do so, even though they ultimately succeeded in capturing voters' hearts and taking on various positions of authority.

They didn' t make it to the polls since their lives were taken on the road, not just because they lost the vote.

We examine a few of the would- be political elites who perished in traffic incidents.

First Is Wesley Kibet Kogo

Before he was killed in a car crash in Kangemi, Nairobi, the aspiring lawmaker was seeking the Nandi Hills constituency Parliamentary post on the UDA platform.

Before the tragic event that took his life on April 7, Kogo has been on his way to the Kass FM stations for a morning talk show.

The UDA held its party nominations on April 14 exactly one week before he passed away.

Second Is Mark Bowen

In Elgeyo Marakwet District' s Sambirir ward, he competed for MCA as a member of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) political group.

On May 7, Bowen was in a car crash on the Eldoret- Malaba route, and was on the side of the road, motionless, with a leg injury and brain injuries.

Despite being sent to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) in Eldoret right away, he passed away from his wounds.

Third, Nancy Wanjala Mwashumbe

Only one day after Kogo' s passing, Mwashumbe perished in a car crash on the Mombasa- Nairobi Road.

On April 8 near Voi in Taita- Taveta District, Mwashumbe was heading to her brother' s burial when she passed away.

On a UDA platform, she was vying for the Chaani Ward MCA post in the Changamwe Constituency of Mombasa District. She had been a teacher for many years and she had retired from the job.

May Their Souls Rest In Peace.
