Professor Makau Mutua has come out bare knuckles to warn that the 2027 general elections will not take place if the four commissioners of the independent electoral and boundaries commission are removed. Juluana Cherera, Francis Wanderi, Irene Masit and Justus Nyangaya are facing ouster after disowning the 9th August 2022 presidential election results.
Kenyan lawyer Miguna Miguna has responded to the claims by Makau Mutua, he is asking on who will continue to be the president if the 2027 general elections will not be held.
In the process of writing his post, Miguna Miguna committed a spelling mistake where he used the name "electrons" instead of elections. Electrons is the subatomic particle having a negative charge and orbiting the nucleus and it has no relationship with Miguna's post.
The slight spelling mistake has left Miguna being a laughing stock as most of those who have spotted the mistake are laughing using emojis and then telling him it is "elections" not "electrons".
