DP Ruto Possible Running Mates In The 2022 General Election

The 2022 general election is knocking and there have been rumors of a number of leaders the Deputy President William Ruto may pick for the race. There are some of his close allies that are eyeing that's post.

Today we sample some of the leaders that can possibly deputize Ruto in the 2022 general election.

Mwangi Kiunjuri

The former Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri, is seen as the next Agikuyu Community kingpin when President Uhuru Kenyatta retires. When he was demoted as the Agriculture Cabinet Secretary, he accused president Kenyatta for sidelining his friends who fought with him when he was vying Presidency.

Kiunjuri may merge is party, with the Political party William Ruto may use for the race. Choosing him, may also help him salvage the Mount Kenya votes, something that may spear him to State House.

Kimani Ichungwa

The young Kikuyu member of parliament is also seen as a possible number two to Ruto. Ichungwa is a close ally of the Deputy President, who has been vocal and the frontrunner of the Hustler Movement championed by the Ruto.

Ichungwa ditched the President in support of his deputy and has never coward away in fighting for him in public. He believes the Mount Kenya Region will fullfil the promise by President Kenyatta of serving a two terms of ten years as well as the Deputy President when the time comes.

Justin Muturi

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Justin Muturi, is another person rumored that will deputize Ruto. Muturi was recently crowned the Mount Kenya Region spokesperson by the "Njuri Ncheke" (the Meru Elders).

Since, his coronation, there's has been rumors going around that, he's being prepared to deputize the Ruto in the 2022 general election.

The three leaders have the highest odds of becoming Ruto's number two. It's understood that the deputy president William Ruto and his Hustler Movement brigades, will favor a running mate from the Mount Kenya Region.

Other leaders that may still take the mantle may include, a leader from Western Kenya Region, Senator Irungu Kangata, the Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and Nyali MP Mohamed Ali.

He may also decide to go for a female running mate in Nakuru Senator, Susan Kihika.
