Today, legendary news anchor Catherine Kasavuli was laid to rest at her home in Vihiga county. The news anchor succumbed to cancer after long illness. She was working at Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC). She also worked at KTN television as a news presenter.

Several leaders attended her burial including the Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Narc-Kenya party leader Martha Karua, National Assembly speaker Moses Wetangula. According to a post shared by the Star newspaper on twitter, the Prime CS arrived in Chopper together with Wetangula.
