Ruto Retract Promises Made to Susan Kihika & Kang'ata as Details Leaks of His Meeting With Aspirants

There has been disquet in UDA following DP Ruto's apparent endorsement of Murang'a Senator Irungu Kang'ata and his Nakuru colleague Susan Kihika for gubernatorial seats, as well as Edward Muriu for the Gatanga parliamentary seat.

To avoid a fallout at nominations, the make-or-break precursor to a General Election and, according to analysts, the reason for the formation of the small parties in the first place, the DP promised credible UDA primaries when he met aspirants drawn from Maasai Community in his Karen Residence.

The DP is said to have informed the aspirants that fairness is what will propel them to greatness and those who will win, must make it through fairness and that that will lose, will have failed fairly.

The DP is also said to have informed the aspirants that, they don't need to get connections to get party tickets, but they should go to the voters and ask them to be voted in, adding that this ensures everyone is treated fairly.
