We are heading into the general election on 9 August this year and Kenyans have already witnessed the rise of political temperatures in the country. Kenya Kwanza Alliance led by the deputy president William Ruto and Azimio La Umoja led by the former prime minister Raila Odinga have been drawing war of words at each other.
The two alliances have unveiled their presidential running mates as it was the requirement of IEBC to do so before 16th of May. After Martha Karua was unveiled by Raila Odinga, Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka who was hoping to be picked as running mate left the coalition.
It was a joy for Kenya Kwanza who were hoping that they will lure Kalonzo to join their team though he had decided to run for presidency.
However, that may not happen again after it emerged today that Kalonzo held a meeting with Prof. Makau Mutua who is Raila's spokesperson. Though Mutua did not disclose the details of that meeting, it is rumoured that Kalonzo could be heading back to Azimio.
