Kenyans React Differently to Moses Kuria's Proposal of a Ruto-Raila Alliance

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has always been confident enough to publicly voice his opinions. Even though he was elected on a Jubilee ticket in 2017, he has been acting against Jubilee, which is the reigning party. Moses Kuria's rebellious ways include opposing the Building Bridges Initiative and supporting the ideals of the People's Empowerment Party (PEP) by supporting George Koimburi in the Juja by-election. Kuria's expulsion from Jubilee Party is already in process as he is going to be summoned to answer for his rebellious ways.

Recently, Moses Kuria had an interview with BBC in which he told them that some politicians allegedly received about KSh 100,000 to vote for the constitutional amendment bill which is the BBI. Mr.Kuria has continued to be outspoken seeing he spewed all this information while he is still in the Jubilee Party and he faces ultimate expulsion from the party.

Moses Kuria is a supporter of Ruto and is a rival of Raila Odinga. In a turn of events, Kuria has come forward to promise that he will make a Ruto-Raila alliance happen before the 2022 general elections.

Mr.Kuria said, "I think that Raila Odinga working with William Ruto will be a very good thing for this country. That's something I will actively cultivate. If I can be able to moderate a working relationship and make a practical BBI, I will not fear to do something I believe in. Some of these things have got political risks. I am a banker and a technology person. Even if it doesn't work out and I have to pay the price, what the hell. I can go back to a bank and start from there."
