Betrayal, ODM Deputy Party Leader Agrees Ruto May Beat Raila Badly In The 2022 Presidential Contest

Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has made a stunning claim that ODM leader Raila Odinga could lose the 2022 presidential election to Deputy President William Ruto if he fails to collaborate with other Opposition leaders.

Oparanya warned that if Raila runs for president, Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka might take away a significant number of votes that would otherwise assist Raila to win, but again if Kalonzo endorses Raila or the One Kenya Alliance joins ODM, Raila will easily defeat Deputy President William Ruto in 2022.

However, if Kalonzo Musyoka runs, he will take votes away from Raila.

Should Raila Odinga' s running partner Kalonzo Musyoka, who was Raila' s running mate in the 2013 and 2017 General Elections, decide to compete for the top seat, he claimed that the ODM party will have to select a running mate from the vote- rich Mt Kenya region.

He stated that as a party, they are strategizing, and believe that if Kalonzo leaves with his votes, Central Kenya will be the best balancing of votes.

He also pushed other One Kenya Alliance leaders Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), Gideon Moi (KANU), and Moses Wetang' ula (Ford Kenya) to join the ODM, saying that the opposition can only win the presidency by working together.

President Uhuru Kenyatta' s handshake partner Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto have cut the presidential campaign to a two- horse fight for 2022.

The Mount Kenya Foundation, which was charged with identifying President Uhuru Kenyatta' s preferred successor, appears to have opted for Raila Odinga to succeed him.

Do we say these are just but doubts of Oparanya? Is it that he does not believe in his party Leader Raila Odinga? Despite Oparanya' s doubts he still opts to support Raila Odinga for the presidency even though he knows the truth and him being the Deputy party leader there is nothing he can do other than to support him.

Because of respect for Raila, he decided to quit the presidential seat. Some months ago, Oparanya aired out that he was vying for the top seat but later he left it for Raila of the respect and him being below Raila.
