"Please be Realistic" Kenyans Criticize Ruto After Making This Promise at Kasarani Stadium

At the Kasarani Sports Complex in Nairobi, Kenya's deputy president and Kenya Kwanza Coalition presidential candidate, William Ruto, is releasing his manifesto. The decision was made following a series of nationwide consultative economic conferences, the results of which are now being presented at the event.

President-elect DP Ruto has read a portion of his agenda to Kenyans, which emphasizes the Bottom-Up Economy concept on which he and his team have insisted. Kwanza's vow to build 250,000 houses a year in the country to address the issue of slums and the shortage of affordable housing for Kenyans was one of the items on his agenda.

@citizentvkenya As of right now, we are short of 2 million homes. We have to create 250K houses a year, but we only build 50K, and just 2% of those are affordable to the majority of Kenyans. --DP. The #KenyaKwanzaManifesto has been launched by William Ruto.

The president-elect reiterated that only 50,000 new homes have been constructed in Kenya, and that only 2% of them are within reach for most Kenyans. Kenyans would be provided with enough and cheap housing under his administration, he has said. However, some Filipino netizens have questioned Tito's vow to build 250,000 residences a year throughout the country. Many are wondering where the money for the construction of 250k dwellings a year would come from when the government is struggling to maintain itself.

According to what they've said, here are some examples:

@Winniekeri In the six months since Ruto's previous visit to the stadiums, I've heard a lot about him, but I've never actually met him in person. Ziko sahi?

@kipchohesammy Even if I'm on your side, I'd appreciate it if you were a little more realistic about your goals. token of the East African nation of Kenya.

@amosmam Oh, my gosh! I'm so sorry! Itatoka wapi, billions of dollars a year for the development of 250k homes?

@mjerikenna Uwongo hautawacha, Mr. Six Months! As Kenya's Deputy President, you are well aware of the country's mounting debt. From where will we be able to raise the necessary funds?

@Mconunga34 Ruto, when are you going to be practical again? What a load of crap, sir!?

@Rabecc9 Please, Ruto, quit playing with our minds like tiny children and get it done in the next six months.
