Kenyans urged to maintain peace during this elections period as world marks international peace day

As the world marks International Peace Day,Kenyans have been urged to maintain peace during this electioneering period.

Speaking in Kisumu, different peace actors led by the president of champions for peace Israel Agina,they have called upon Kenyans to peacefully coexist among themselves and at the same time urged the political class to observe sobriety during this period.

 "The political class has already started their campaigns. We urge them to conduct violence free campaigns, we want the peace we already have to continue prevailing during and after the 2022 elections" .

At the same time,politicians and those planning to vie for various political seats have been called upon to explore all forms of dispute resolution to avoid election violence.

National Muslim Leaders Forum (Namlef) Kisumu county coordinator Haji Hassan Hussein a representative from the religious organization, has urged the media to observe professionalism as they carry out with their work and has also called upon them to give a black out to those politicians who will issue inciting utterances .

" If you ever find somebody talking arrogantly, the best thing to do is to give him or her black out because that way it will help
