
The Orange Democratic Movement party, Kakamega branch has been hit hard by the unforeseen demise of its women league chairperson, honourable Jamila Anjere.
The heartbreaking news were made public by Party deputy leader and Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya.
In his solemn tribute, Oparanya hailed the deceased as a committed party member and unrivalled grassroot mobilizer who contributed immeasurably towards the growth of the Orange party and that her absence will be very consequential.
"I have learnt with deep sadness the sudden death of Hon. Jamila Anjere who until her death served as Kakamega County ODM Women League chairperson.We have lost a committed party member and a grassroot mobilizer whose immense contribution towards the growth of the party will be dearly missed." Kakamega county residents who have interacted with the deceased have also trooped to social media to recount their experiences and share their heartfelt condolences.
Many credited her outgoing character and determination to steer the women caucas in the county.
