What of KEMSA Heist? Sen Cherargei Hits on Uhuru After Announcing New Covid-19 Prevention Protocols

Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei has called off President Uhuru Kenyatta after he announced new measures in the bid to curb the spread of covid-19 which is now in its third wave.

Taking to his Twitter account, the vocal Jubilee Senator wondered why the president did not address the KEMSA scandal that surfaced last year, and how the government is planning to cushion poor Kenyans.

"Nothing on the KEMSA heist, No economic cushions towards poor Kenyans in hospitality industry, 60% passengers on public transport & not on air transport; No plans on free public vaccination towards 47.5M Kenyans Lazima uhunye anataka fuliza."

Announcing the new protocols from State House, President Kenyatta stated that there will cessation of movement in and out of Nairobi, Kiambu, Kajiado, Machakos and Nakuru counties effective today midnight.

He also extended the curfew hours from 8pm to 4am, a directive that will start today till further notice.

The president's sentiments comes after the KMPDU reported that there were no ICU beds in the city despite increasing number of new Covid-19 cases.
