Mombasa gubernatorial seat is heating up day after day. Several influential leaders from the county have already announced their gubernatorial bids. The leaders have been traversing different parts of the county popularizing their bids.
One of the gubernatorial aspirant is Mvita legislator Abdululswamad Shariff Nassir. The youthful ODM legislator is serving is second term as Mvita member of parliament. He enjoys massive support and influence in the county.
Today the legislator received a major boost after Likoni legislator Mishi Mboko publicly endorsed him for Mombasa governorship seat. Through a video shared by legislator Mishi Mboko on her official Facebook page, the ODM legislator endorsed Mvita legislator gubernatorial bid.

The Mvita legislator is facing stiff competition from Mombasa businessman Suleiman Shahbal who is also vying for Mombasa gubernatorial seat on a ODM party ticket. The two candidates will face off in ODM gubernatorial nominations. Other gubernatorial aspirants include UDA candidate Omar Hassan who enjoys massive support from deputy president William Ruto.
The vibrant aspirants will be fighting to succeed the incumbent governor Hassan Joho who is serving his last term as Mombasa governor. The county is perceived to be a ODM party stronghold.
