Vice Chair Juliana Cherera and Commissioner Nyangaya on Monday morning, 5th November 2022, resigned from the commission.
The move to reaign has triggering a series of mixed reactions from leaders across the political divide.
Nandi County Senator Samson Cherargei has reacted to the resignation of Cherera and Nyamgaya swying that the resignations were long overdue.
He has further claimed that the resignations have put Azimio Chief Raila Odinga's planned demonstrations into limbo, confusion & political oblivion.
Cherargei has further opined that the government should deny Raila police permit to hold the demonstrations since Kenyans need to work.
"The resignation of IEBC commissioners vice cherera & Ngangaya is long overdue after putting the country in precipice of anarchy & has put Tinga's Maandamo into limbo, confusion & political oblivion. The govt should deny him police permit coz Kenyans need 2 work!" Senator Cherargei said.
