Politics in Kenya is unique. Political parties and coalitions are being formed before and after the general election. Political agreements are made out of personal or communal interest. Sometimes political promises are not fulfilled. This leaves other party annoyed and feeling betrayed. Honourable Aden Duale is one of the victims of political betrayal.
Today in the local newspaper, Honourable Duale has said that he was betrayed by president Uhuru Kenyatta in 2018 when he was ousted from the Majority seat in the National Assembly. He also said that in 2007, Honourable Raila Odinga betrayed Honourable William Ruto. According to him, he will not trust any politician including his preferred presidential candidate Dr Ruto. In fact he said that once Ruto ascend to power, there is high chances of betraying him. "... My friend when you go to State House, I do not think you are different from president Uhuru and Honourable Raila Odinga, you will also betray me..." Mr Duale said.
Politics is a dirty game. It is full of betrayals and dishonesty. This has made Honourable Duale to have a different thought towards future political engagements. Honourable Duale has remained silent after he was kicked out of Jubilee Party's leadership slot in the National Assembly.
Do you think Dr Ruto will betray Duale once he ascend to power in 2022?
