Jubilee candidate Patrick Karani has been the duly elected member of county assembly representing Utawala ward in Nairobi county.

Returning officer for Utawala ward Kennedy Kamau officially declared the ward by election results today and issued a winning certificate to the Jubilee party candidate. The announcement event was attended by Jubilee party top leadership led by national secretary general Jeremiah Kioni.
Mr. Patrick Karani garnered 1,109 votes to win the hotly contested ward seat.
" The returning officer for Utawala county assembly ward by election Kennedy Kamau declared Jubilee party's Patrick Karani the duly elected member of county assembly war after garnering 1,109 votes" posted IEBC on its official Facebook page.

The Jubilee party candidate bet his close competitor from UDA party Samson Kahui Ngure who enjoyed backing from leaders allied to the ruling party.
Jubilee's Patrick Karani was backed by Azimio La Umoja movement top leadership led by former prime minister Raila Odinga and area member of parliament Babu Owino.
