Jubilee vice chairman David Murathe has revealed that the ground in the Mount Kenya region has shifted greatly in terms of political alignments.
Speaking on K24"s Punchline, the vocal Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance supporter said that the deputy president William Ruto has been campaigning in the Mount Kenya region for the last four and a half years, and that had put him ahead of his would-be competitor Raila Odinga.
However, according to Murathe, with the official entrance of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance into the race and the subsequent unvailing of Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua as his running mate, the ground has greatly shifted against the UDA presidential candidate.
When asked about the opinion Polls which has been putting the Kenya Kwanza Alliance leader ahead of Raila in terms of popularity in Mount Kenya region, Mr Murathe explained that not all polling companies were accurate about their findings, adding that opinion polls are sometimes manipulated to influence public opinions. He said the reality on the ground was different.
'There are some opinion polls that are done by professional companies... Polls are sometimes used to manipulate public opinion. The reality may be different.' Murathe said during the Punchline show.
