Nairobi: "Mudavadi's Political Career Will End If He Folds ANC And Join Us In UDA" MP Gakuya Claims

Embakasi North Member of Parliament James Gakuya has claimed that the Prime Cabinet Secretary Wycliffe Musalia Mudavadi would end his political career if he dares fold his Amani National Congress (ANC) political party and join president Dr William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ahead of future elections.

According to Gakuya who spoke at TV 47 Kenya Live show on Tuesday morning, Mudavadi had tried to dilute his political clout by engaging in self-destructive moves in the past. However, he quipped that if the ANC chief dissolves his party for a grand merger, it would be the beginning of his end in political cycles. "Musalia Mudavadi has attempted many political suicides but if he folds his party and joins UDA that will be the end of his political career," James Gakuya.

This comes as claims have it that the former Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria's Chama Cha Kazi was dissolved and its members joined UDA. This follows the appointment of Kuria as Industry and Trade Cabinet Secretary by president Ruto.

ANC and FORD-Kenya, together with UDA were the founder political parties of Kenya Kwanza alliance early this year. Parties like CCK, The Service Party (TSP), Pamoja African Alliance (PAA), Tujibebe Wakenya, Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC) and Democratic Party (DP) joined the alliance shortly before elections. After election, United Democratic Movement (UDM) and former Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi's Devolution Empowerment Party (DEP) joined the outfit.

Mudavadi was among the founder members of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and the defunct National Super Alliance (NASA).
