New Twist In Mr Aydin Case As MPs Summons Equity Bank Boss Over Sh 15 Billion Saga Involving Dp

More drama has continued to unfold following the arrest and deportation of Turkish businessman Harun Aydin, Ruto's close ally. According to Nation MPs have summoned Equity Bank Chief Executive Officer James Mwangi following the allegations that the bank gave sh 15 billion to Mr. Aydin.

This follows the allegations from DP Ruto that he made a phone call to Equity Bank that lead to massive loan facilitation to Mr Aydin to set up a vaccine manufacturing plant in Uganda.

Mr Mwangi is set to appear on Wednesday 25 August where he will be tasked to explain if Mr Aydin holds or operates any account with Equity bank and security that could award him sh 15 billion. Also Mr Mwangi is to explain whether the bank had verified what Mr Aydin had intended to do with the loan.

Mr Aydin was part of DP Ruto's botched trip to Uganda before he was arrested while jetting back to Kenya from Uganda.
