A businesswoman from Taita Taveta had a bold message for leaders after what Deputy President William Ruto did when she was heckled by the crowd.
The woman identified as Hilda told politicians to respect other people since they don’t know when they will need them.
Hilda spoke up after DP Ruto intervened to stop the crowd from shouting when she mentioned Taita Taveta Governor Granton Samboja who is in the Azimio team.
Hilda told the politicians and the crowd that she wanted to explain what the Governor has done and not done to help them.
She continued saying she was telling DP Ruto the challenges they are facing so that they can receive assistance from the next government.
“Viongozi wenzangu, tuheshimiane, sijataja mtu kwa ubaya, ninaeleza yale tumefanyiwa na ambayo tunataka tusaidiwe. (Our leaders, let’s respect each other, I didn’t mention your names in bad faith, I am explaining what we have received and where we want help,” said Hilda.
Hilda however managed to tell DP Ruto how they received little help from Samboja in their handcraft textile business.
