Today marks one year since the passing away of the country's second president Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi. The family of Moi has today held a private function to remember their late Father Mzee Moi.
The event was attended by few selected leaders with President Kenyatta and ANC Leader Musalia Mudavadi in attendance. After the preaching, the Master of Ceremony invited One of Moi’s Son Mr. Raymond Ruto Moi to invite Other leaders to speak.
When Moi took to the podium, he was quick to correct a huge mistake that Gedeon Moi had allegedly made during the presentation. According to the Rongai Member of Parliament, people should be aware that the home remained under the Name of Mzee Moi and not Gideon, the Son.
According to Raymond, the Kabarak home will remain to be referred to as Boma Ya Mzee Moi and not for Gedeon Moi. He also asked leaders to respect the home even more during their speeches and avoid bad politics.
