Orange Democratic Movement(ODM) party communications director Phillip Etale has come out and rebuked the demolitions that happened in Njiru. These are the demolitions that left around five thousand people homeless during these cold seasons and hard times.
According to Etale these are hard economic times when Kenyans are struggling to make ends meet and someone has just woken up and decided that some houses somewhere be demolished. He also added that he think that is very wrong. He warned Kenyans against defending everything because people are hurting and suffering. If someone has done something wrong, then the truth should be told and not defending them.
As the demolitions were going on, there was presence of armed security people and it also caused a heavy traffic along Mwiki_Njiru road. There is no official communication on who was demolishing and why they were demolishing the buildings. However, rumors online were that the government was doing so so that they can pave way for development projects.
