On Monday, November 21, Ngunjiri Wambugu, a former representative for Nyeri Town denied accusations that Martha Karua Azimio la Umoja One Kenya running partner had little to offer in the August 9 2022 presidential election.
Wambugu stated that the message propagating Twitter account was a hoax. He observed that the fictitious story was attempting to advance a particular narrative that did not reflect his ideas.
In addition, the former lawmaker criticized media outlets for failing to exercise due care when publishing the bogus tweet online.

Wambugu flagged the account and said You didn't see the tweet you are quoting is not in my name.
According to the remark party leader Raila Odinga of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) was to blame for the loss of numerous seats among Mount Kenya MPs.
According to the account Jubilee legislators who backed the Azimio leader ultimately lost their seats to the incumbency.
The account specifically criticized Karua for losing the presidential race asserting that she was unable to secure 1,000 votes from the Mt. Kenya region which had a high voter turnout.
