Chebukati Faces Tough Ouster Petition After Surviving Another Petition

IEBC chairperson Wafula Chebukati is facing a serious Ouster Petition in court. This comes immediately after he survived another petition. Today in the morning court ordered that Chebukati was clean in tendering award. A voter had moved to court to challenge his suitability as the chairman IEBC.

Chebukati who was accused of illegally awarding the tender, is now facing a tougher petition. Petition of being partisan. The rule of law says the chairman should never be partisan in the country. All commissioners are required to be non-partisan. ODM and other alliances including Moses Kuria's Party are condemning Chebukati Wafula for being partisan.

This comes immediately after he sided with the USA party associated with the deputy president William Ruto. Ruto and his allies had told him to quit the election preparedness team. Wafula Chebukati accepted and withdrew from the committee. This never went well with the Azimio la Umoja brigade.

However, he sited his withdraw as being allowed in the Constitution. We wish all politicians the best. Thanks.
