The government was charged of subverting the legal system when Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's Ksh7.3 billion corruption lawsuit was dismissed on November 10.
After much deliberation, James Orengo, the governor of Siaya, came to the conclusion that the only aspect that contributed to the case's rejection was Gachagua's status.
He emphasized how justice is administered unevenly across the nation to demonstrate how the judicial system is being exploited.
If Gachagua weren't the Deputy President, Orengo said, "His case would not have been dropped. I won't suffer any consequences for expressing this.
On November 13, the governor spoke at Rarieda, where he had assisted with the delivery of food aid during the terrible drought.
Along with other government representatives who helped distribute the food, Eliud Owalo, the Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy, was with him.
Orengo claimed that some innocent Kenyans were being denied justice in current cases despite their innocence.
