Even now, results for the upcoming presidential election are only provisional, and the numbers are often changing. As the country anxiously awaits the declaration of the future President, Forms 34A, 34B, and 34C will be used as a point of reference until the end of the vote tallying.
Currently, Forms 34A are the main sources used to add up the preliminary presidential results. According to Article 138 of the constitution, the IEBC has seven days to consolidate all the results and declare the presidential election to be over.
After tallying the votes, a presiding officer completes Form 34A. It lists the votes cast for each presidential candidate at a certain polling location along with the votes that were legitimately challenged. representatives for each candidate.
But the results for the president from the various constituencies are compiled using Form 34B. The forms are sent to the National Tallying Center after being verified and used by IEBC to create Form 34C.
Wafula Chebukati, the chairman of the IEBC, stated that Form 34C would be used to declare the official results of the presidential election.
According to Nation Africa's most recent preliminary presidential results, as of 7.03 PM, UDA DP William Ruto received 3,267,427 votes, which represents 52.10 percent of all votes cast using form 34A. Raila is following DP Ruto with 2,963,823 votes which translates to 47.26%.At 6.08 Pm provisional results were showing DP Ruto at 52.54% while Raila had 46.82% which shows Raila is closing the Gap between Ruto and himself.
