National: Malala Reveals Favour Which Mudavadi Could Seek From DP Ruto Or Raila Ahead Of August 2022

Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala has revealed favour which Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader could seek from deputy president Dr William Ruto or former prime minister Raila Odinga ahead of August general election.

According to Malala who appeared on Citizen TV Live show on Tuesday morning, his boss Mudavadi could team up with DP Ruto or Raila, and then convince either of them to support his presidential ambitions.

The first time senator quipped that the ANC chief was opened to working with any political partners with the top contenders being no exception. However, he argued that the move could not prevent Mudavadi from being on the ballot for the State House seat.

"It is possible for DP Ruto or Raila Odinga to step down in favour of Musalia Mudavadi to be president," said Malala.

This comes amidst the move by Mudavadi and his ANC camp to hint at entering a political partnership with Dr Ruto and United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in readiness for the forthcoming polls. The same was discovered after the DP, in a past TV interview, noted that he was engaging Mudavadi over coalition making and partnership.

The same is also happens amidst plans by OKA to strategize on how to pick their preferred Flagbearer in the presidential election. Recently, they retreated to Naivasha, where they deliberated on the way foward before settling on who to endorse among the four principals; Mudavadi, Wiper Democratic Movement-Kenya leader Kalonzo Musyoka, and senators Moses Wetangula and Gideon Moi.

OKA team has vehemently dismissed cracks amongst the principals after claims had it that Kalonzo was adamant in pursuit of his ambitions.
