The deputy president Rigahi Gachagua has been on a tightrope for about 2 years now after he was linked by criminal investigators to a 7 billion corruption scandal. Gachagua was apprehended and taken to court after he failed to explain the source of the huge billions that were found in his bank account.
However, the directorate of criminal investigations has changed its mind about the case facing the second in command. A DCI official has said that he was hurriedly told to craft a case against the politician. The official has been seeking the DPP to withdraw the case since it was politically instigated.
Rigathi and Ruto had promised kenyans that they were going to overturn all the cases facing their allies and especially those that were politically instigated by President Uhuru Kenyatta. Aisha Jumwa's case on corruption allegations was also thrown out. Do you believe there is criminal justice in Kenya?
