The Fifth president of the Republic of Kenya is now going to be His Excellency Dr William Samoei Ruto. The only president who has risen from being a Deputy President and Succeeded his boss to become the president.
However, the Journey has not been a smooth one. It has been a long and bumpy one. Firstly, his declaration was marked by lots of drama as some of the Commissioners disowned the results. Some chaos arose around Bomas. However, he overcame.
Then came another hurdle as his win was challenged on the Supreme Court. Luckily, it was ruled in his favor.
However, according to Mutahi Ngunyi, this is not important any more.
He tweeted saying, "The end justifies the Means.It Does not matter How Ruto became President. It does not matter whether Uhuru Used baba to fulfill his 'KumiKumi' STRATEGY. William Ruto is NOW President. Country SHOULD rally behind him. All is FAIR in LOVE, war and POLITICS."
