Relief as Gachagua Reveals How Much a Packet of Maize Flour Will Cost if Ruto Wins

Kenyans have every reason to elect Deputy President William Ruto as their next President, Kenya Kwanza presidential running mate Rigathi Gachagua has said.

Ruto is eyeing the seat for the first time, and is up against three other competitors, top of the list being ODM leader Raila Odinga of Azimio La Umoja.

But Gachagua has warned Kenyans against making the mistake of not electing Ruto, telling them that under him the cost of basic commodities will reduce.

He claims that Kenyans will only pay Sh90 for a packet of maize flour if Ruto ascends to the throne, stating that things will be better with Ruto in power.

He made the remarks while asking President Uhuru Kenyatta to keep off the presidential debate and let Ruto battle it out with Raila, pointing out that the DP will correct the wrongs Uhuru's regime has made.

"Let the President keep off the 2022 agenda and let Ruto battle Raila. Let him allow Ruto to get to power and reduce maize flour prices from Sh230 to Sh90," the Mathira parliamentarian said while accompanying Ruto to Tharaka Nithi on Saturday, reports Citizen TV.

He said that it is only through Ruto that the country can realize it's dreams, adding that the DP will implement some of the projects Uhuru had in mind but didn't succeed in completing.

"Leave the job of electing the President to Kenyans and let Ruto be elected so that he can revive the Big-4 agenda so that development can follow," said the leader, a known anti-Uhuru crusader.

His remarks come at a time when life is getting hard for Kenyans, thanks to high cost of living, which Ruto and his troops are blaming on Uhuru's poor leadership and his closeness with Raila.
