Before Martha Karua joined Azimio La Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga as the running mate, most of the Pollsters that had been released showed that Deputy President William Ruto was ahead of Raila Odinga in the presidential race if election were to be held today.
The opinion Polls that has been conducted after Martha Karua Raila collaboration has Alledged that Raila is now ahead of Deputy President William Ruto.
Polls released last month by Both Infortrak Poll Company and TIFA established that Orange Democratic Movement Party leader Raila Odinga was enjoying the lead.
Why is this so? Methinks this is because of the running mate factor in both camps.Reports indicate that Gachagua is unpopular in Mt Kenya region unlike Martha Karua who was changing the political dynamic in the Mt Kenya region.
Secondly, the fact that Martha Karua's Gender is of female seems to have influenced those voters who were undecided to think of supporting their ticket with Raila Odinga.
