Sabina Chege Claims Mt Kenya Residents Presently Perceive Uhuru As Their Worst Enemy, Blames Ruto.

Ruto is a tactical politician who rose from a chicken seller, youthful politician in KANU, Member of Parliament and now the Deputy President. He has spent decades in places of power and has a vast experience in how the political game is played. The DP has never let an important opportunity pass by without advancing a particular agenda.

Politics is a very ruthless game where only the strong can survive. It is mentally, emotionally and financially draining. The DP has shown to have most of these qualities and no matter the humiliation or setback he has encountered, he has soldiered on and made significant strides especially in Mt. Kenya.

Recently, Sabina Chege one of the top politicians in Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Alliance launched an attack on Ruto. In her statement, she blamed Ruto for poisoning the minds of the people who now perceive Uhuru as their worst enemy.

Hon. Chege was quoted by K24 saying, "This is exacly what Uhuru did. He sent his deputy to go around inspecting government projects but he turned them to be his own campaign tools and worse still poisoned the minds of the Mt. Kenya region residents who presently perceive the head of state as their worst enemy."

There may be some truth in that statement but the reality will be seen if Mt. Kenya residents vote for Raila Odinga whom Uhuru supports. However, the truth of the matter is that Kenyatta has lost some support in the mountain mostly due to the high cost of living which is also being experienced across the country.

Ruto has just taken advantage of the dire situation to paint the government in bad light. This political move has also forced Uhuru to shelve his ambition of directly campaigning for Odinga among the people of Mt. Kenya.
