Sergio Matarrela who is the Italian head of state arrived in Nairobi yesterday Monday evening on his four days tour just weeks after Jill Biden left . First thing today, the Italian president Matarrela is having a live meeting with Kenya's president Ruto in Nairobi and the meeting is streaming right now.
Several Kenya Kwanza politicians led by Ruto, Gachagua and their wives arrived in the meeting before Sergio Matarrela arrived and he took close to 7 minutes to inspect. The Kenya police fired 21 bullets in the air as a way of showing respect to Sergio Matarrela before the meeting officially started. In a statement made by cabinet secretary of foreign affairs Mr. Alfred Mutua, he said that the meeting will have a positive impact to the tourism, agriculture and water sector which will be visited often by Italians as they come in the country.
Apparently, the meeting of today is basically to discuss about how Kenya and Italy will trade and invest in the two countries with the motive of raising cohesion and revenue collection. The meeting is to promote investment and positive correlation between traders for the sake of income and foreign revenue collection. Source, Star.
