Muranga Gubernatorial Race Turn to a Two-Horse Race After UDA and Jubilee Front Powerful Candidates

The next general election is fast approaching. Leaders across the country are busy planning and preparing for the next general election. Politicians across the country have publicly declared their political bids. Muranga gubernatorial race have attracted two powerful candidates in a bid to succeed the incumbent governor Mwangi Wa Iria.

Last weekend Muranga senator Irungu Kangata publicly declared his gubernatorial candidature during a rally in Mukuyu attended by deputy president William Ruto. The vibrant politician said that he will use UDA ticket to vie for Muranga gubernatorial seat. Mr. Irungu Kangata revealed his four agenda manifesto to the people of Muranga county.

Today the senator led grassroots leaders and opinion shapers from Muranga county to a consultative meeting with deputy president William Ruto in Karen. The leaders endorsed senator Irungu Kangata for Muranga governor. The senator has also being hosting various law sessions and church sessions in the county to popularize his bid.

Muranga county women representative Sabina Chege had earlier announced his gubernatorial bid. The vibrant women leader will be using Jubilee party ticket to vie for the gubernatorial seat. She enjoys massive support from president Uhuru Kenyatta and his close allies led by Kieni legislator Kanini Kega.

Madam Sabina Chege has focused her campaigns mostly to women and youths. She has graced various events in Muranga county to popularize her gubernatorial bid and cement her grassroot support. She was recently nominated as the best performing women representative in Kenya during the gala awards in Nairobi.

This has turned Muranga gubernatorial race into a two-horse race. The two powerful candidates will be competing stiffly to succeed the incumbent governor Mwangi Wa Iria.
