Bodyguards of Deputy President William Ruto faced a hard time during his rally at Eldama Ravine as he attracted a huge crowd.
DP Ruto who was accompanied by ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetang'ula and other Tangatanga politicians received a warm reception during their rally.
After the rally, Ruto’s bodyguards and uniformed police officers had a hard time trying to make way for Ruto’s motorcade as the crowd had surrounded his vehicle.
A section of the crowd in front of the DP’s vehicle however gave way as the bodyguards and uniformed officer tried to form a barricade so that the vehicles could pass.
When the vehicle started moving, the residents tried to force their way on the left and right side of the vehicle to try and greet DP Ruto who was waving from his car.
The bodyguards who were on the outside of Ruto’s car pushed the crowd back as the section tried to get close to Ruto’s car.
The bodyguards and police officers managed to create enough space for the DP’s motorcade to move out of the venue of the rally.
