DP Gachagua Lists Ruto's Achievements as he Calls Out Nation Newspaper Over Today's Headline

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has hit out at the Nation Newspaper for allegedly writing n headline on "Failed Promises by President William Ruto".

Speaking in Nyandarua County today, Gachagua claimed that the Nation Newspaper has been supporting the Azimio wing and thus the reason for such headline.

He claimed that towards the 2022 election, the Nation Newspaper supported the Azimio wing and ran fake narratives about the Kenya Kwanza wing but Kenyans decided to vote for the Kenya Kwanza wing.

He listed a number of promises that the president made during his campaign and have achieved after just 8 months in office.


1. President in his campaign promised to appoint the judges of Supreme court

2. President gave a promise to support the judiciary by allocating extra funds

3. Promised to give financial autonomy to the national police service so that the police can work independently without any interruptions

4. He would digitize the services given to the people of Kenya and that has been done.

5. President appointment presidential working party that have sorted out the issues of secondary School.

6. University education - president has sorted out the problems that were affecting University education.

7. Housing - Gachagua claimed that in 8 months the president has put up 36, 000 housing units that have given jobs to Kenyans.

9. Hustler funds that President Ruto promised during his campaign has been delivered.

10. Road projects that stalled have been unlocked by the president.

11. Unga Prices - Gachagua said that packet of Unga was at Ksh. 230 but Ruto have drastically reduced to between Ksh. 150 to Ksh. 180.

12. Chiefs are now focused on dealing with illicit brews.

13. President promised to be a democrat and the president has kept the promise of giving Kenyans their political freedom.

14. Ruto promised to continue engaging Kenyans one on one - today, he has visited over 36 counties since his election.

15. No single Kenya has died out of food since election.

16. President promised to employ enough teachers. Since independent, we have made history of employing 36,000 teachers.
