Law society of Kenya president, Nelson Havi is one those vibrant leaders in the country who will do anything that they believe it is right. Since taking over as the boss of the law society, Havi has been fighting numerous court battles, including his own outer or rather suspension by the board.
Well, on the just concluded vetting of Chief justice. Havi has taken on lady Justice Koome claiming the judiciary commission was not transparent by nominating her without making the criteria used public. He equated the whole process to 2008 presidential election. Where he claimed that Kibaki was just given certificate and told he won election.
"JSC cannot run away from its constitutional duty to be accountable and transparent. It must disclose the scores of all candidates and give reasons why the nominated CJ was most suitable. If it does not, we will petition the National Assembly to remove all commissioners. ^POLSK" posted Havi.
Here are some reactions.
"What are your specific accusations? Tweeting empty complaints which you didn't present to the interviewing panel is dishonesty, out of order, too late, insincere, glory seeking, n all other descriptions. An honest goal already scored, days later you claim it was an offside?"posted Jack.
"Many people know that Martha Koome didn't deserve the nomination by JSC but they are afraid to say it because they will be accused of gender discrimination. That's how this country will keep sinking." Posted Ken
