United Democratic Alliance Party (UDA) party associated with Deputy President William Samoei Ruto has postponed a crucial meeting with it's party members and aspirants seeking party's ticket in forthcoming nominations.
The meeting was scheduled to take place on 26th October at the official residence of the Deputy President in Karen, Nairobi County. The meeting dubbed cluster 5, was bringing together aspirants from some of Rift Valley counties. The counties affected by the postponement include Turakana, Trans Nzoia, Nandi West Pokot, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet Bomet, Sambuu and Kericho counties.
The DP has met with leaders and aspirants seeking the party's ticket and endorsement from various counties in Cluster one, two, three and four assuring them that UDA will conduct free and fair party nominations in the run to the general elections slated for August 9th 2022.
The number of new registered members and the number of those who have shown interest in contesting for various posts on a UDA ticket from the the country has been so overwhelming. While on his coastal tour, the Dp who doubles up as the party's leader warned aspirants causing acrimony in the party that they would be barred from contesting on the party's ticket.
