Mike Mbuvi Sonko has today made his major visit to Mombasa County in efforts to popularize his political bid just a day after receiving a hard to take news both from DPP Haji and Chief Justice Martha Koome.
In a recent Radio interview with Spice FM, the Chief Justice Martha Koome made it more clear that once a person is convicted and impeached he cannot run for any political office in the country unless the conviction and Impeachments are reversed.
Talking of the two, Sonko who was the Governor of Nairobi County got impeached before his term came to and end and had also faced some convictions over gross misconduct and abuse of office.
That has however not stopped the former Nairobi County boss from going on with his political campaigns in Mombasa County as he seems to be more hopeful of being in the ballot and also winning the gubernatorial seat.
Just this evening, the Wiper candidate for the Mombasa County gubernatorial seat has visited the areas of Barani, Mjambere Ward in Kisauni Constituency.
In his online statement, the embattled politician has made stated that he intentions to save the lives of people who have been oppressed for along time is unstoppable.
That is a clear indication that he is much convinced that he will be in the ballot this August and will also be a good position to emerge victorious against top competitors like Abdulswamad of ODM and Hassan Omar of UDA.
