Kakamega senator Hon Cleophas Malala during Kenya Kwanza claimed that one does not need educational qualifications to work in the police service and even took jabs at the cops who were guarding him alongside Kenya Kwanza leaders Hon Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula.

An officer who was guarding the vehicle carrying Amani National Congress party leader Hon Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula could not hide his dismay at Malala's comments while the crowd cheered him on.

The officer had to turn his face as Senator Malala threw jabs at the police officers over what he termed as "a job that doesn't require any education certificates".

"I had spoken to our people and they asked me to tell you (Musalia and Wetangula) when you form government we are not interested in positions they want you to revive Mumias and they want the police who come here and ask our young men to show their teeth, that should stop," Malala stated.

Senator Malala asked Kenya Kwanza to bring a lorry to villages take youths to police training without asking form four certificates. According to him, the job belong to people who didn't manage to go to school provided they have legs and hands to hold guns.
