Former Kisumu Central Member of Parliament , Ken Obura is seeking Orange Democratic Movement ticket for gubernatorial race in Kisumu County.
Kisumu current governor,Anyang' Nyong'I have asked the former member of parliament Ken Obura to support him but he refused claiming he won't do so unless Anyang' Nyong'I does so.
Obura who is seeking ODM ticket for gubernatorial seat said that there has been no talks between him and Nyong'o.
During a brief meeting that was held on April 16,Obura flanked by Jack Ranguma, Kisumu Senator Fred Outa and Former Kisumu County Assembly speaker, Onyango Oloo dismissed rumours that he had steeped down the gubernatorial seat to support the current governor,Anyang' Nyong'.
Obura later said he will only engange in talks with Current Kisumu governor if only he will step down and support him to be the next Kisumu governor in the coming August 9 general elections.
He warned saying he was the most popular candidate and if ODM fails to hand over him the ticket, he will contest as an independent candidate.
