How Raila, Ruto Presidential Polls Petition Is Likely To Be Framed

The presidential poll petition which has been filed by Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance led by their presidential candidate Raila Odinga is likely to take a three-prolonged plan, the strategy seeks to cast out doubts about the numbers, tallying process, verification of results and the final declaration of the results.

The petition is likely to be similar like that of 2017 presidential elections in which the main issue revolved around the the electoral process rather than the final tally. Odinga and his team claim that the whole process of tallying the votes was compromised in favour of William Samoei Ruto.

Mr. Odinga claims that Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Chairman Wafula Chebukati acted in favour of Dr.Ruto and thus the final results should be declared null and void.

In addition 4 out of 7 IEBC commissioners led by Juliana Cherera protest about the opaqueness of the voting tally and verification process.

IEBC Vice Chairman Cherera questioned the number of votes and subsequent votes declared by Mr. Chebukati in Favour of Dr. William Ruto.

Mr. Chebukati rubbished the claims citing that the four commissioners were attempting to force a run-off in the presidential election
