Nyeri County Deputy governor Hon Caroline Karugu lost her mother a few days ago which brought mourning and sorrow to the family.

Today, the Orange Democratic Movement Party leader Raila Odinga made a surprise attendance to the funeral of the late Mama Jacinta which took place in Chaka.
As always, Raila Amolo Odinga urged Kenyans to maintain peace and unity in the country as we are heading to the elections season.
"PL @RailaOdinga was today among mourners who attended the funeral of Mama Jacinta Wanjiku Karugu mother to Nyeri County Deputy Governor Ms. Caroline Karugu in Chaka, Nyeri County. He reminded Kenyans to maintain peace and tranquillity during this electioneering period." The ODM party confirmed.
