After the appellate court struck the final nail in the BBI reggae coffin, the One Kenya Alliance team have no otherwise other than exploring other options for their political survival. They had intended to capitalise on proposed creation of powerful seats for negotiation purposes.Among the options,OKA principals could contemplate to choose one among them to go for the presidency. With no assurance of extra BBI slots,it is now quite hectic for them to engage the former PM Raila Odinga given their level of mistrust on him. However,ANC's Musalia Mudavadi and Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka have both shown interest in the top seat with no one willing to step down for the other. This could ultimately lead to the split of the alliance with each one of them taking his own political path.
The team could also be forced to swallow their pride and join either DP Ruto or Raila with a post election agreement. In this set up,both of them shall renounce their candidatures and play a second fiddle given that it will be impractical for Ruto and Raila to support them. The two are the main frontrunners with all their focus pointing at the presidency.
