According to the latest news, Kalonzo Musyoka turned out in the first three but he could be trailing in the third position unlike the expectations of many.
"1. Hon Karua, No. 2 Hon PK. Distant 3rd Hon Musyoka. The political destruction and utter humiliation of Hon Musyoka by H.E UHURU and Hon Raila is COMPLETE...."Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi https://t.co/Rpzsm5Cu3k
The Nation has it that Kalonzo Musyoka is in the third position with Narc Kenya party leader Martha Wangari Karua leafing followed by former Gatanga constituency Member of Parliament Honourable Peter Kenneth.
Experts warn that on the flip side, choosing to ignore Mt Kenya for Mr Musyoka is a tricky choice because it might mean handing the 5.8 million votes to Deputy President William Ruto on a silver platter.
Those backing the choice of Ms Karua and Mr Kenneth say it will help eat into Dr Ruto’s support in the mountain, with the hope that the team still retains Mr Musyoka’s Ukambani bloc.
All Eyes are on Raila Odinga who will make the final determination after he receives the names on Thursday from the panel that had been given the task of choosing the Presidential running mate.
